What does a typical workday look like for you?
Typically I spend my days quoting charters, talking to brokers and clients. I also look after the marketing for Light Jets so creating content for our social media accounts, website and mailouts.
What led you to want to get into aviation?
I really love how connected the aviation industry makes the world. How you can be in another state, in another country or on another continent in a matter of hours.
Tell us about your current fleet of aircraft & helicopters
In our fleet, we currently have a CJ1, CJ1+, CJ2, Beechcraft Baron and our most recent addition a Beechcraft Kingair B200.
What’s the best and worst career advice you have been given?
The best advice I have been given would be to hold yourself with confidence and speak with conviction, but never too scared to ask for help. I don’t recall any bad advice – I have been lucky to have great mentors throughout my career.
What was your most memorable flight?
I took a helicopter flight in Darwin with my boss who started in the industry as a helicopter musterer, that was a wild ride (felt like a rollercoaster!)
When is your busiest time of the year and why?
The lead up to the Christmas period always feels busier than any other time of the year, everything becomes a little more urgent.
What are your three must-have travel essentials?
A good book, comfy shoes and an open mind.
What’s your favourite city to fly into and why?
I loved flying into Queenstown, it was probably the roughest but the prettiest landing I’ve ever had.
